Did you upload the .htaccess file?
Did you follow the steps for installation outlined in the readme file? It's step C, the step before importing the product XML file.
Yeah sorry I missed the link on the side for install instructions
I have now done what it says but I still cant see threads
Whats that Movie
It says towards the end of the installation
Configure vBSEO settings as desired.
Do i have to configure first to get the whole thing to work
If so what do I have to configure to get this up and running as the config file is massive vbseocp.php
Yes, for best results you should configure and get your license key locked in before installing the XML product or uploading the .htaccess file.
However, if you're still getting 404 errors, confirm that your server had mod_rewrite installed.
Your hosting company should be able to tell you.
(And, if you want to recover your site in the meantime, just disable vBSEO by using the first option in the vBSEO control panel.)
Try uncommenting the "RewriteBase" line in the .htaccess file.
PHP could be returning the wrong path for your site. You can try editing the vbseo_config.php file and look near the bottom for the DOCROOT entry. Put the full physical path inside the '' on that line.
Or, you can open a support ticket with a temporary FTP login so that we can take a look.
How long will it be before some one will be able to look into my problem.
I have sent a support ticket :-)
Update: resolved via support ticket (there was htaccess.txt file uploaded instead of .htaccess)
