Hello staff hello members

thanks for this great plugin (I've the free version).

users like me they have a free version no privileges to post or open a thread in http://www.vbseo.com/f77/ ?

Because I have a problem:

I can't chmod the files at root/vbseo_sitemap/data/sitemap_1.gml.tz to 666 I getting this error:
COMMAND:> SITE CHMOD 666 sitemap_1.xml.gz
550 sitemap_1.xml.gz: Operation not permitted

I have full access at FTP.

PS: Many thanks to iojam at vbulletin.org they helped me to update to 1.6.1

Hello Erhan!

You have the vBSEO Sitemap Generator, which is indeed free. However, vBSEO is a completely different product.

You should have access to post in the Sitemap forums, so I'll move this thread there for you.

Back to your question.... If you don't have access to set permissions on your site, you may need to contact your host and have them do it for you.

I think the problem because I can't chmod the files is in .htaccess documented which I have to upload to the folder root/vbseo_sitemap/data/
The file says "deny from all".

Anyways I have now the fresh plugin 1.6.1 (sitemap generator) and in my google sitemap center are all sitemaps downloaded only the sitemap_7.xml.gz (the last) has status "Pending" since 2 days.
and in google I have only 600 indexed sites since 1 week (since the problem and errors with the sitemap generator begans).

Know at google sitemap center says "OK" for my sitemap index. but I have anyways ~600 pages at google instead of ~90'000 :(

Hello Erhan,

your pages will not appear in Google index right after sitemap submission, it will take quite some time for this.

Hi, now days later google have no mor sites indexed as ~600. One time ~300 and hours later ~600 it changing always.
On my forum online list are 10-15 yahoo slurp machines but - if there one is - only 1 google bot!

Yes, these fluctuations are a normal part of the process. Stick with in. In the coming weeks, you will begin to see improvement.

I see in my report list that google always downloading my sitemap but they stopped to list it at google.com.
Here you can see that after 15. april no more sites indexed:

I hope that google didn't ban me

Yes, it's good to have robots.txt in place. You can find some example here at vbseo.com (search for robots.txt to find discussions related to it).

And today google sitemap center give now an error for the sitemap index file

Hello,

I see that there is no robots.txt file at www.aleviforum.com currently, probably you've removed it.
Btw, you can have an empty robots.txt file if you don't want to restrict access for SE bots.
