.htaccess problems
Whenever I write the required lines:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

to my .htaccess file I get:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /forum/showthread.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.


On all my forums pages. Please help! I really want to run vbSEO

Well I'm guessing it does as I am using:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

on another forum/website on the same server successfully. What's the downside of not having this in your htaccess file?
