    Help needed getting compression errors

I am using 3.8.5 pl2, and I have been facing problems since end of July with compression errors. I think the problems started after I migrated to another server.

I didn't know the probs existed until I checked webmaster tools in google. The sitemap was showing with a cross mark and resubmit says invalid form of sitemap

when I checked it myself it gave me errors

here is the message I got when I tried to view the sitemap:

    HTML Code:
    Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.

Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
Just for records if its needed, I am using mysqli, eAccelerator, Apache, Cent os 5.x, cPanel

please help me solve this issue
