Google Webmaster Tools: Redirect Errors

Received this message in GWT:

"Increased URLs that cannot be completely followed
While attempting to crawl your site, Google has noticed an increase in the number of URLs that we are unable to completely follow. Here are some sample pages with URLs we cannot completely follow"

The message then lists 10 URLs to our forum, which uses vbseo. However, these URLs appear to work fine, and when I test them on web-sniffer, they return a 200 response code.

When I view "crawl errors" in GWT, I see more URLs with "redirect errors". Some of them are member pages, some of them are single posts (I've since set include show post and archives to NO, recreated sitemaps, and resubmitted), and some of them are threads (format: www.xyz.com/forum/t-title-of-thread-12345.html). As far as I can tell, they all return a 200 response code.

Our rankings have plummeted and continue to do so. Almost all errors in GWT have to do with our forum. Please help!

Your sitemap should only have 200 'final' destination urls in it. If you're using showpost permalinks or anything else that changes urls, turn those sections off.

Webmaster tools is not real time, so be sure to check the date on these results.

The main tab to worry about it 'in sitemaps' as those are the core urls that you are foucsing on.
