Google not getting it all?

My site generates 14 zipped sitemap pages at the 20,000 setting.

Sitemap Generator History: 271,958 URLs

Yet my Google site: Results 1 - 10 of about 34,700 URLs

Last Google crawl:
sitemap_index.xml.gz Sitemap Index Web Apr 21, 2007 7 hours ago OK 272681

It appears that Google is ignoring 13 of the 14 zipped sitemap files?

I am a licensed VBSEO owner, but I haven't installed it yet. If Google can get 34,700 URLs, they should be able to get the rest of the 271,958 shouldn't they?

site maps are not an instant thing. The sitemap is merely a SUGGESTION for google on WHERE your content is, so it CAN be spidered. Doesn't mean it HAS to.

And, install vbseo today. What are you waiting for?

Thank you for that information. In the mysterious world of Google, one can never be certain.

I'm just slow and extremely careful. I have over 9,000 users and over 200,000 posts.

Can VBSEO be easily uninstalled if it doesn't meet my expectations?

Since there is a lot of internal cross linking between boards, will the showthread.php?t=36957 links still work simultaneously with the new link format?

How are you doing with the brand free licensing?

You dynamic links on other sites will still work.

vbseo can be easily uninstalled, and the Staff will even provide the .htaccess information to 301 redirect your static links back to your dynamic links. If you give the product time to work though, and have a good understanding of how it works, you won't want to do get rid of it though.

There is no timetable for the branding free option. It will be available in the future, but no date or timeline has been set. You do not have to provide a link in the copyright though. There are several copyright options available to you, half of them are a live link, the others are simply text.
