    Forums down after sitemap install

I'm hoping someone can help. I had no trouble upgrading to 2.2. However, after uploading the files and doing the install of the sitemap, I'm getting the following error:

Warning: main(/home2/cmeinck/public_html/includes/init.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/cmeinck/public_html/forum/global.php on line 20

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required '/home2/cmeinck/public_html/includes/init.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home2/cmeinck/public_html/forum/global.php on line
    20

I uploaded all the files in Binary format to my forum root folder. I chmod the data folder to 777. From there I added the vbsitemap xml plugin via vbulletin. I also edited my .htaccess. I have the .htaccess found in 2.2. So, the line after RewriteEngine On I added:

    RewriteRule ^(sitemap.*\.(xml\.gz|txt))$ vbseo_sitemap/data/$1 [L]

Not sure what to do from here? Please help as my forums are completely down. I still have access to the admincp.

    -Chris

I uploaded all the files in Binary format to my forum root folder.
All the files? or the vbseo_sitemap folder (which includes all the files)

If this is the case, you might have overwritten your index.php file.

That's quite possible. Instructions said "all files" into root. How do I recover from this?

I dumped the following files into my root forum folder which is /forum.
    • index.php
    • vbseo_getsitemap.php
    • vbseo_sitemap.php
    • vbseo_sitemap_functions.php
    • vbseo_sm_config30x.php
    • extra_urls.txt
I also added the data folder and CHMOD to 777. On my .htaccess, I added the line as per the directions.

    Yes! that's the problem...

Files should be uploaded to the the forum's root folder like this:
    vbroot/vbseo_sitemap/*here*
    vbroot/vbseo_sitemap/data/ (CHMOD to 777)

Make sure you are using v.1.1 of the sitemap

vBulletin is widely regarded as a secure choice. phpBB is, however, frequently hacked.

vBulletin comes with the advantage (of course) that it can be vBSEO-enabled. Taking SEO into consideration from the very beginning will help you to be successful.
