    Error submitting to Google v2.6

I don't know what I'm doing wrong and I've searched the forums and can't find anything but when I submit my sitemap to Google all I get is this error, any ideas?

    Code:
    Sitemap errors and warnings
Line Status Details - General HTTP error: 404 not found
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit. HTTP Error: 404
Problem detected on: Dec 30, 2009
         - URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL. HTTP Error: 301
    URL: http://www.scale-models.co.uk/showpost.php?p=3063&postcount=3
Problem detected on: Dec 20, 2009

I've deleted them all a few times and regenerated them, also what new product file? I've only downloaded it today from a link supplied by Mert which was 2.6 beta 1

Disable showpost urls in the sitemap options. Looks like you are including them and you shouldn't as they cause a re-direct which google doesn't like.

    google is not instant.

try doing a manual re-submit. if it LAST detected it in the past since a new sitemap has been loaded, it should eventually go away.

Does this mean delete everything in the data folder? I am having this same issue.

Just files that end in .xml.gz and progress.dat (if it exists)

I don't have anything in that file with that ending. Maybe that's the problem. What should I do now? If I delete sitemap_index.xml.gz I get an error so I restored the back up.

If you delete sitemap_index.xml.gz (and all the others too), you should re-run the sitemap task manually so that the files will exist on your server, but updated. That is the file you want to submit, sitemap_index.xml.gz

Wait I got it to run but I do not see any .gz files on my server at all now. I am looking at it with my FTP program.

It's not showing in the folder and google isn't finding it, there aren't any .gz files showing in the data folder either.
