Error 404

FIXED. If anyone knows why, please let me know.

For some reason, copy/pasting the code is somehow messing up the .htaccess files. I had to manually type all rules. Using Vista 64 bit to edit htaccess through notepad. I am saving the ".htaccess" as ansi, type "*.*"

Adding RewriteBase/forum/ didn't work before because of this but everything works now. Strange...

RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} brandimensions\.com [NC]
RewriteRule .* - [F]
This was also in the root htaccess and causing some problem.

I am lost too. ive read all the thread 2x and searched in google for whole day for a solution for the 404 not found error for the IANA — Example domains .
Ive done all that what was described here like, check chmod 777 for all folders, if rewrite work, reinstalling mod, reupload .htaccess,check htaccess with blank except the rewrite code, rewritebase ....
i need realy a solution for that error..

example.com/sitemap_index.xml.gz for this sitemap file <--

so i think my 404 error is a mystery and i should give it up?
because at vb forum i also dont got a solution for my problem with YOUR product...
