    Error 404

I installed the mod posted over at vBulletin.org. I've also posted for help there at these links: #338 and #340

I followed the directions to the letter, but when I try to visit the sitemap, I get a Page Not Found Error 404.

I apologize if this has been discussed before. However, I have searched and have found nothing that will help.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me resolve this issue.

    All my best!

    Hello Steve ,

Make sure your server supports mod_rewrite and you are allowed to use .htaccess

I've added nothing to this field in the vBSEO settings: Sitemap Files URL

The above field was left empty, since it states:

By default the vBSEO Sitemap files will be located in your forum root. Use this field to specify a different location, for example, your site root: http://www.yourdomain.com

NOTE: You must edit the .htaccess file of the folder in which you want to locate your sitemap files. More information here. Leave this setting empty to use default vB url.
    Code:
Your Google Sitemap Index URL: http://glitchpc.com/forums/sitemap_index.xml.gz

    Make this your .htaccess:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule testpage\.html Google [R]

    Then go to yoursite.com/testpage.html.

Does it redirect you to Google?

Where do you want me to put this? In the forum root, or the root of my site?

Okay...I added that to htaccess file located in the root of my site. I visited testpage.html and it redirected me to Google's homepage.

So...mod_rewrite is working. That's one hurdle down. Now...how can I get my sitemap to display correctly?

    Okay...

I've deleted the .htaccess file I currently have in the root of my forums directory.

I now have this information in the .htaccess file of the root of my domain:

    Code:
    ErrorDocument 400 http://glitchpc.com/error400.html
    ErrorDocument 401 http://glitchpc.com/error401.html
    ErrorDocument 403 http://glitchpc.com/error403.html
    ErrorDocument 404 http://glitchpc.com/error404.html
    ErrorDocument 500 http://glitchpc.com/error500.html

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]
    Still no joy...anyone?
