The Dreaded Google Sitemap Status Warning

Hello eveyone,


I have triple checked my Vbseo sitemap settings and I STILL get the following error from Google on my status. I have also made sure that I updated my sitemap tool to the latest version.

Granted I know they are warnings but I guess I wanted to get another opinion. My site has been open over a year and a half and I am not getting the traffic I had hoped. ANY suggestions or comment are welcome.

please check for possible issue as described in Google webmaster tools tells me these warnings (posts #8, #10, #19).

Checked settings. Everything looked fine with Priorities. I did make the .php edit, saved and reupped. I also deleted the entire vbseo_sitemap folder and re-installed with new version JUST TO BE SURE. I had the latest but I deleted and started again just for safey's sake.

I re-created the sitemap and have resubmitted to Google. I will give you their status in just a few.

Finally I am perfect!


What I did to resolve the issues was instead of using a SINGLE priority between 0.1 and 1.0 ( as instructed ), I used a range.


For example:

Instead of showpost.php priority being = 0.1 in the field

I used = 0.1-0.3


I did this for all priorities and it went off without a hitch. I know this was my issue because I followed all the great posts here and double checked all my settings.
