downloads.dat CHMOD permission issue

Hi.
I have recently restored my all data from a small server to a big dedicated server.
Now if i access vbseo_sitemap area , it gives below error :

/home/apnanetw/public_html/home/vbseo_sitemap/data/downloads.dat file is not writable, make sure that it has 0666 permissions

But when i CHMOD it to 666 , i will get below error in Cpanel :

/home/apnanetw/public_html/home/vbseo_sitemap/data/downloads.dat chmod failed: Operation not permitted in /home/apnanetw/public_html/home/vbseo_sitemap/data



Any idea please ?is it my Cpanel problem or is it because i have disabled vbseo_sitemap plugin ?

That is related to file owner problem. You can ask your host to correct chown values for that file.
