    Database Error when running generator

Upgraded to vb4.0.4 a couple of weeks ago and sitemap has not worked since, was using 2.5, upgraded today to 2.6 beta, but still get the same message:

[SECTION START] tags [4,666.5Kb mem used] [1,167,434s (+1,167,434s)]

Any ideas please, it means nothing to me.

What settings are you using, ie what are you trying to include in the sitemap?

This might help for settings to use...

Thanks Toon, cut out most bits and pieces and it worked.

Do I need to delete all old sitemaps and start from scratch?

No I think it just overwrites the old one, you could make sure you submit it to google once again

It's recommended to re-build your sitemap with deleting all the old .gz files and re-generate it again, To get it full re-build the new sitemap.

Nope, not doing it toon, will have to have a play, as just getting an error, almost whatever URL I use. The sitemap files are stored in vbseo_sitemap/data, but pointing direct to that directory doesn't work either.

Thanks Marco will do that, then try and solve the problem as to why I can submit it.

OK, deleted all old files, re-generated them, but despite the generator settings, which are supposed to place the files in the root directory, they are being placed in the vbseo_sitemap/data directory and google can't find them, this is getting a tad frustrating, as it had all been working perfectly until the upgrade to the latest vbseo when I upgraded t vb4.0.4.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

I've tried now to download and test your sitemap and it's working fine, Submit this URL to Google vBSEO redirect the sitemap from data/ to your forum root so you should submit this URL : http://www.thamesvalleybirds.co.uk/sitemap_index.xml.gz

It's just an Google's update problem, Your sitemap looks correct, Google will update it soon since GWC doesn't take the effect immediately.

Hmmm actually when I am trying to load your sitemap it does seem to be redirecting to the forum homepage.

No amount of waiting will fix this because it seems google is seeing the same thing.

Can you post the contents of you .htaccess file here or open a ticket with ftp and admincp access?

    Thank you

    Ceri
