database error

Hi ,

i get this database error during generating the sitemaps from 2009-03-12 right after this :

[SECTION START] showthread [6,200.9Kb mem used] [315,176s (+315,176s)]
[SECTION START] member [6,432.0Kb mem used] [315,180s (+4s)]

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.1:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT userid, username, posts FROM user ORDER BY posts DESC;

MySQL Error : Lost connection to MySQL server during query
Error Number : 2013

i know this is kind of server problem, tried to resolve but i couldnt .

Any help would be great .

Looks like you have a LOT of urls in your sitemap.

I'd suggest deleting all the .xml.gz files that have been created.
then, adjust some settings. MAke sure the txt format sitemap is disabled, along with some other 'bloat' pages (see my guide for more suggested settings).


If you run your own server, you can also try to increase your wait_timeout setting in my.cnf and consider raising your max_execution_time in php.ini

yeah we have lots of urls .

i have been reading ur very useful Guide and make done most of them . txt format is disable for long time . no old urls included too .

I have my own very Strong server . there is not timeout setting in my.cnf at all . what setting u would suggest ?
