Crawl errors in Google - Sitemap generation not working?

Hi there.

I am not sure what the problem is but it seems that Google is not able to find and crawl my pages properly.

Please see the screenshot below for the Google webmaster crawl report. Over 9000 pages are unreachable! What can I do to change this?

ALso please see another screenshot of the vbseo sitemap report. This has not been running it says since 2009!

500 errors are server related. It's possible that your server was down or your htaccess file was out of place when googlebot last visited your site.

the thread in question, http://www.theenvironmentsite.org/fo...our-times.html loads fine for me now.

it should clear out on its own. webmaster tools is NOT real time and operates on anywhere from 4-100 hours+ delay

Okay, Thanks. Where can I find the htaccess file so I can check it? And what should the file ideally have in it? What should i look for?

What are the error reports I should have a look at? I am using a VPS server and Plesk.

Sorry to ask all of these questions but I really need to get to the bottom of this issue (s).

Your htaccess file is in your forum root. It is in place and working correctly, otherwise i wouldn't be able to load that thread.

You may find some info on your server error_log files from apache, and/or access_log files.
