chmod 777???

This is a discussion on chmod 777??? within the Troubleshooting forums, part of the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap category; I do not know what this means and I need instruction on how to do this! Thanks for the help!...

    Right click on a file or folder and click on permissions or chmod and enter 777. This means it has permissions to read,write,and execute.

    Ok I right clicked on the forum-root/vbseo_sitemap/data/' folder

    In my ftp but there was no "permissions" options!

    Which ftp program are you using? What options are displayed when right clicking?

    I am using Transmit for mac attach is what I see when I right click on that file

    I have not imported product yet could that be an issue for chmod 777? I have not seen a step for importing product so when do I do this?

    Try clicking GetInfo. The readme clearly states when to import the product.
