| Can't access /sitemap_index.xml
Howdy, I've installed the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap plugin, but when I go to http://www.starcraft2.net/sitemap_index.xml.gz I get a 404. I went through the common 404 errors at Common Troubleshooting Help - vBSEO 3.0 RC3 but that didn't resolve anything. On a side note, is this what is supposed to happen when you click on "Run Sitemap Generator"?: [homepage] [0s (+0s)] [SECTION START] forumdisplay [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 1, total threads: 0, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 14, total threads: 25, pages: 2 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 2, total threads: 6, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 9, total threads: 3, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 15, total threads: 4, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 12, total threads: 0, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 11, total threads: 1, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 13, total threads: 0, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 8, total threads: 0, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 10, total threads: 7, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 5, total threads: 0, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 6, total threads: 5, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [forumdisplay] forum_id: 7, total threads: 5, pages: 1 [0s (+0s)] [SECTION START] showthread [0s (+0s)] [archive homepage] [1s (+0s)] [SECTION START] forumdisplay archived [1s (+0s)] [SECTION START] member [1s (+0s)] [SECTION START] polls [1s (+0s)] [create sitemap file] filename: sitemap_1.xml.gz, number of urls: 701 [1s (+0s)] [create sitemap in text format] part #1 [1s (+0s)] [create sitemap index] filename: sitemap_index.xml.gz, number of sitemaps: 1 [1s (+0s)] |

I believe I finally figured it out after reading this thread: Google not finding sitemap? For others that have the same issue as me, I fixed my problem by CHMODing everything in /vbseo_sitemap (as well as that dir) to 777. What gets me is why it doesn't tell me to do this in the installation instructions. It states "CHMOD 777 the 'forum-root/vbseo_sitemap/data/' folder " which I did do as it was the first instruction after all... |

Hello, you should not chmod main vbseo_sitemap/ folder to 0777, keep it to 0755.
