    back to old URL's

    Hi guys,

Unfortunately I had to remove the VBSEO because it does not stop the server processes running and just choking the processor by a process called vbseo.php.
I use VBSEO for several months and this is the first time it ran like that suffocates the processor, looks like it ran non-stop loop.
That is why unfortunately I had to stop the use VBSEO Although I paid for this product quite a bit.

Following this, I would like to request your help to make a redirect to the old URL's.
for threads I like to redirect from this format: "www.tgf.co.il/ [thread_id] - [thread_title]. html" to this format: "www.tgf.co.il/showthread.php?t = [thread_id ] "(old url)

for forums I like to redirect from this format: "www.tgf.co.il/f [forum_id] - [forum_title]. html"
to this format: "www.tgf.co.il/forumdisplay.php?f = [forum_id]" (old url)

Unless you have any solution to the problem of ongoing processes that create very heavy load on my server's CPU to be able to continue using VBSEO.

Odds are , you have simply outgrown your server and it's time to upgrade from all the new traffic you are receiving. We never recommend anyone to remove the product simply due to server issues.

    Hi Brian,

My server is a dedicated server with a 6-core processor and 4 GB RAM memory, so is not that weak.
Moreover according to data from Google Analytics seems my traffic has not increased at all.

Are you sure that this is not some bug?
No one reported a similar case recently?

What is your traffic figures (specially, average and peak online users with default cookie timeout).

4gb of ram isn't that much these days.... most home machines have 4-6 these days.

First I want to say I was wrong about the memory, I have 8GB not 4GB.
Could it be that the fact that I upgraded to VB 4.1.0 LP 2 led to what I described to you about the endless process?

You can try temporaily disabling vbseo to see if you still have issues.

Remember, vbseo.php processes nearly EVERY script as a conitainer, so while it looks like it may be the culprit, it is often times the inner script (ie, showthread) that it is parsing that is causing the load.

99% of the time when customers report issues like this, it is usually related to
    - not enough server resources for traffic
    - mis configured server configurations
    - security modules (suhosin/mod_security/etc)

If you are at/near your resource limit without vbseo, adding vbseo will certainly spike your server.

I disabled VBSEO and now the load average of the server is 1 - 6 Max, when I was using VBSEO the load average of the server was Min 36 - 60.

If there is any special server configurations for VBSEO that you know about I will be happy to know.

A load of 6 is unacceptable if you ask me. Your site should run UNDER 1 most of the time. I would look into getting better hardware.

    Even using these tips,

the end result is that your server needs to be stronger for your level of traffic.

    Hi Brian,

I thought about something, before that VBSEO began to run an endless process and choke my server, I installed the mod VBET.
It is possible that the cause of the problem in my VBSEO?

Now I re-install VBSEO and it seems to work fine (for now).
