Authentication issue?

VBSEO has been installed and was working till couple of days ago when I closed the door on the guests and requested everybody to login to be able to see the contents of the forums. Since I did this VBSEO shows only 2 URLs in the report. How can I fix this so the VBSEO continues working like it was in the past without having the forum accessible to public (unregistered guests)?

If you turn off your forums to guest , bots cannot index your site at all and limited accessed forums are not included within sitemaps.

Well if you have an account with google it allows a method to authenticate (by entering username/password) so the bots can still crawl through the forum. Does VBSEO_sitemap has such authentication method so you can use for vbseo to see the contents of the forums and generate sitemap?

Google Adsense has that option, but I haven't seen it in Google Webmaster.

If you want search engines to index your site, you need to allow guests to view your content.

I understand that the bots wont be able to crowl the forum. But is there anyway that I can still use the VBSEOsitemap to generate sitemaps with the forums being restricted?

No. There is no need to generate the sitemaps, if the content isn't accessible.

Well the contents is accessible to the members. And if I can generate sitemap and pass it on to google then the guests can search for it (through google search engine) and if they are interested, then they can register to read the contents.

If your forums are not visible to guest Google or any other search engine will not index your site therefore noone can find your threads within any search engine.

It doesn't matter if the URLs are included or not, since Google will not be able to view and index the threads. All that Google will index will be your "Access Denied / Please Log In" screen.
