Hello Kevin , Add delay after creation of each sitemap. You can find the option @ vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator Options : Delay Execution After Each Sitemap File |

I'm going to try to bump it up to 5 seconds and decrease the per file count to 10K. |

When manually creating the sitemap from the generator interface it seems to complete OK but when trying to access it in any fashion is when the error comes up. |

What is the URL that causes the issue?

| When trying to access the file {url}/sitemap_index.xml.gz is when the error occurs. For example, when in the Sitemap control panel and where it says "Your Google Sitemap Index URL: http://{url}/sitemap_index.xml.gz" -- Clicking on the link produces the error. What is the size of data/downloads.dat file? (it must be huge to cause memory_limit issue) Try to remove/rename it.

I deleted the file as well as all of the old various sitemap_X.xml.gz files, recreated it and all seems to be good again in the world. |
