500 Internal Server error
Hi all, recently I've encountered a major problem:

I've been using the following .htaccess for a while now and it's been working great. But up until recently I added 1 subdomain "protect.domain.com" (which worked fine). Then I recently found a tip that could help redirect all other subdomains that are non-existent to redirect back to domain.com

The tip was to create a new subdomain: *
Then have *.domain.com redirect to domain.com

As soon as I did that, my site throws out the 500 internal server error.

I tried remove the redirect & delete the subdomain *, but the error still occurs.

I later removed the contents of my .htaccess, which eventually solved my problem. However I wish to keep my .htaccess since it's needed for the sitemap and redirection of www to non-www. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I see that you have 2 lines concatenated on the last line (RewriteCond ... is appended, you should remove that.)
