Tag Mod from Zoints does have lots and lots of bugs from seo point of view and do agree with same but at same this helps a lot to get content indexed much faster. I do not think Zoints team is ever going to work on this and neither any technical support is provided over this voluntarily work ! alas

best implementation of tags can be seen on gamespot, imdb helps them heavily
Supposedly the Zoints crew is working on an update (at least according to some PMs) but there is no ETA.

If you check the release thread over at vB.org though you can find some bug fixes that others have posted.

Like I said, it is probably great for a big board. But for smaller boards I think the noise it adds to SERPS is overwhelming. I think for a smaller board you need to make sure the tags are limited and only added by staff. If you keep the total tags down to a minimum for a small board it may be good. But if they outnumber your actual threads then I wouldn't expect good results.

I guess the tags with more than one word have invalid urls in the sitemaps. Is it possible to replace the spaces with "-" ?

Non-english characters in the tags are another reason for invalid urls in the sitemaps.
Is there a way or code to replace non-english characters to english ones in those urls without changing the tags?

it is ok with mine: every tag was included in the sitemap by the latest version of sitemap generator (vbseo_sitemap-2-2).
