Both features are implemented and will be included in the next Sitemap Generator version![]()

May I make a request that keyword search: result pages are also included in the site map? obviously these will be limited in number as searches are deleted every hour.... however google /yahoo should still pick up on them.
[edit] just noticed, a much better page title for these search result pages is needed too[/edit]
rob,
when SE bot is crawling your search results pages, they should be visible in SE Bots Activity Log as "search.php" request entries. Is it what you meant?![]()

I see. In default environment these pages will expire to the moment when SE bot will go crawling them:
1. time #1 - search query submit
2. time #2 - sitemap generation+google ping
3. time #3 - google bot downloads sitemap file
4. time #4 - sitemap is parsed and (probably?) some of the urls are placed in the some sort of "crawling queue".
5. time #5 - the page is crawled by the bot
Obviously, (time5-time1) will be much more than 1 hour on nearly every case. That's why it will not be a part of default vBSEO Sitemap Generator script.
However, with new Sitemap Generator (will be released shortly), it will be easy to create a simple add-on code that will add these pages to sitemap.
This will be very useful for the forums with long (non-default) life-time set for search queries.

What I mean is that when SE bot will fetch the search.php?searchid=xxx page, it will not find the corresponding content (i.e., search results). Or will it?![]()

Hmm....
I see what you mean..... I just noticed how vB handles searches....
I was expecting it to use something along the lines of search.php?q=my+search+query
Hmmm.... thats a shame..... some really valuable keyword rich pages could have been added there....
Workarounds?? hmmm.... suggestions?
