Google Sitemaps?
Could a feature to generate Google Sitemaps be added?

I've added a feature like this to a CMS that I have been writing for my website and I think it would be best if the forums had one too.

there is one for vbulletin stock by t2dman. He had written a vbseo sitemap but 1 file not released. We all waiting for that.

i was actually trying a grab url from the sitemap(vbseo sitemap)
not exactly the best way i am sure but its something.

How did you do it? Manually? Or did you use one of the available sitemap generators? I know, that there are a number of available, but I don't know which one works for this modification. I tried one (Softplus GSiteCrawler) and that one didn't work. It didn't get the rewritten urls.

actually i did a screen link grabber and did it.
then cos the xml settings are almost same for all threads added them to all urls.
am trying to code a php script which will do this automatically. The link grab php code is freely available (search google)which displays all links on screen. All you have to do is put in file with google settings..
easier said then done though :P

Don't forget, Google has a limit on the size of a sitemap, so larger forums will need a system that can separate the forum info into multiple suitably sized Google sitemaps.

It doesnt look like much has been done on the sitemap front, I think this would be a great value-add to vbSEO or perhaps a second product. I would be willing to pay for a good sitemap generator.
