Custom 'outgoing links' for google analytics external links tracking

    Heya,

I have a suggestion related to VBseo & Google analytics.

Could you have a field where you can add custom files that are actually external links but are redirected. For example, you may use redirect.php?site=www.blah.com so you could put redirect.php in that field and it'd give them the same external link tracking code as it does with normal outgoing links. Or you could have /outgoing/1, /outgoing/2, so if you put "/outgoing" in there, it'd track all of them.

    Hello Nick,

you can manually modify these links to track them in Google Analytics:
    HTML Code:
    <a onclick="urchinTracker ('/outgoing/2');" href="redirect.php?site=www.blah.com">text</a>

Yea but I thought vbSEO automatically inserted this code to links sitewide, automatically? I don't really want to have to add nofollow to every single time I link to one of these pages.

Yes, vBSEO does this automatically for all external pages and manual link changes make sense only if you don't have a lot of links.
Currently we have a "feature freeze" for vBSEO3.0.0, but this may be a good addition for the next release.
    Thanks for your suggestion!
