Characters that need replacing for Non English Characters

Only from using Google sitemaps I'm finding out it doesn't accept dollar signs in the URLs

They display in the Non English character options

So what's coming up as errors in my Google Sitemap

is URLs with
*
)
$

If I find any more I'll let you guys know. The display correctly but perhaps it redirects & Google can't follow them...
