Yet another system requirement question...and some others

Hello,

Ioncube came pre-loaded on my server (though I can change that if I were so inclined).

How can I tell if I'm using the runtime loaders or if they are installed on my server natively in my php.ini?

The only reference to ioncube in my php.ini is the very last line:

Quote:
zend_extension = /usr/lib/ioncube/Ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so
When I run the test script it says that I am good to go.

Zend Optimizer No Download/Install Instructions | FAQ
Ioncube Yes

Congratulations! The software should install on your server with no server changes needed.
You should download and install the ionCube Encoded version of the software.
My phpinfo reads:
Quote:
This program makes use of the Zend Scripting Language Engine:
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.0.12, Copyright (c) 2002-2005, by ionCube Ltd

What is the time course for 2.4.5? If I buy and install now will I be upgrading next week? If so, is the process likely to be so time consuming that I should just wait?

Many thanks in advance.

Jim

I suggest you to update ioncube library to make sure it is compatible with vBSEO (latest version is 3.1.16).
You can download it from PHP Encoder, protection, installer and performance tools from ionCube: Loader Download, update your /usr/lib/ioncube/Ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so with downloaded version and restart apache.

vBSEO upgrade is a simple process and should not take more than a few minutes.

OK. I can do that (I think). It is a dual processor VPS under Linux. Am I looking for the x86 or th x86-64 version?
