Work with Expression Engine, vb site?

I have a three-year-old blog using pMachine.com's Expression Engine content management system. They now sell a forum module that integrates with the blog, but it can't be as powerful as vB, which I've owned and run for five years in connection with another commercial site.

My blog is not SEO'd very well, but I'm working on it. I'm thinking of adding vB or an EE forum to the site, where I post several times a day on a vertical market.

    1. If I have an active vB as part of the site, how will vBSEO help the overall site, which is more than 10 years old?

    2. What would be the best way to setup EE, vB and vbSEO to get the best benefits of an active blog and, probably, a modestly active board, if it becomes active at all? Currently, my blog doesn't get comments so I don't expect the vb to get a lot of action unless I broaden the mission of the blog and board in an effort to make money on Ad Sense ads from Google.

    3. I'm also exploring how to make vB my blogging software. Would require a special skin, or what? The problem with vB is I don't know how you put outgoing links on your home page, unless you create a special skin. That's what I do with my vB now, but I don't use it as a blog.

tia for any thoughts, suggestions on how I could optimize vb and vbseo.

the only way should be using amember software.

Dont think vbulletin can be used effectively as a blogging software.

However, using a vbseo optimizied for your pmachine blogs should work great, using rss feeds from your forums on blog pages :-)

    Hi Donald,

vBSEO will definitely help you. It is a complete SEO solution for vBulletin. Features include onpage optimization, CRU (Content Relevant URLs), optimized site hierarchy, and link building to mention some of the major areas. Best idea is to take a look at our vBSEO demo.
