Hello, we are glad that vBulletin is finally realizing the importance of SEO.
Please see here: How will vbseo cope with vb4?
The Forum Hosting - Forum Hosting from the Forum Experts
While vb4's seo integration is a nice start, it is extremely basic and simply doesn't compete with vBSEO. If what's in the alpha holds to the final version, it's literally an on/off switch with one option. vBSEO has over 100 features and nearly endless options and customization abilities to extend through your entire site and is the only product on the market that achieves link consensus.
vBSEO 3.5 will fully support vb4 and we plan to release concurrent to vb4 final (as we are already under way with working on it and are an alpha tester). vBSEO will still be the application if you truly care about the SEO factors of your site.

much thanks for the great info!
I just worried about buying vBSEO now and then having it conflict with vBulletin 4.0 when it comes out
Nope. vB's seo feature are a setting. You will simply leave the vB setting off and use the 3.5 vBSEO package/add on instead.
