About LinkBacksSay I purchase this for my current board (3.8x) and install it. When we apply vbulletin patches or vb upgrades will the vbseo installation work with the new patches or does it have to be re-installed or patched independently as well?

It's just like any other plugin. You can upgrade vb without doing anything to vbseo MOST the time.
However, some new versions of vb may add new sections/urls, so its best to check here first. We will ALWAYS update as soon as we can to the latest vb version for full compatibility in the future.Brian Cummiskey / Crawlability Inc.
