What happens after changing a thread title?

Hey,
If a user makes a thread and then a moderator changes the title, does the thread URL change instantly or what? 301 redirect from old to new?

Hello John,

the corresponding showthread URL will be changed automatically AND old URL will be automatically 301-redirected to a new one.
