What do we as a vBSEO 3.5 user need to do in order to comply to Googles three-digit number requirement?

We are using vBSEO 3.3.2 and vB 3.8.4 now and considering moving our articles (approx. +300) from Drupal to vBCMS when vB turns 4.1. We would like to be able to publish our articles in Google News and I have stated a question regarding this here:

What do we as a vBSEO 3.5 user need to do in order to comply to Googles three-digit number requirement? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We have been researching this topic internally ourselves. We found that turning the article ID's into 3digits may be possible but would be un-needed if you use a news sitemap.

We have decided that we will update the vBSEO Sitemap Generator to produce an additional News Sitemap that complies to the formatting rules, under Googles guidelines the URL doesn't need to have 3 digits if you use the sitemap and so would elevate the need for an additional modification just to do this.

Currently our full effort is going into creating vBSEO 3.5 but once it goes gold we will start work on updating some of our other modifications, adding this function will be on our list of updates to complete.
