I have an older, highly modified version of vBulletin, I think the version is 2.0.3

Can I still use VBSEO? I guess, I mainly need the showthread.php rewrite for search engine indexing as currently google stops at 30-40 listings for the site and I have over 10K threads on the system.

I can code in any hooks with some direction on how to make it work if it is needed.

Sorry, vBSEO only works with vBulletin 3.0.x, 3.5.x, and 3.6.x.

I guess it will be a significant task for you to upgrade your forum given that you have a lot of modifications installed. However, doing so not only allows you to take advantage of all the improvements and new features in the vBulletin 3.6.x series, it also allows you to make the jump to vBSEO.

I think that the current vbulletin still uses the same basic file naming such as showthread.php, functions.php, etc. although the implementation inside of these changed.

I guess I was thinking that if this is an apache mod_rewrite solution that works with those filenames that it should not be too difficult to make it work. I mean, what is it in the newer vbulletin that vbseo needs to have to work? If it is not possible, then ok.

Not really possible centurion, however you will find that most hacks for vBulletin 2.0 have now been released for 3.0

It should be an altogether possible task to upgrade to to vBulletin 3.6 (however, time consuming)

Then you can add the ultimate add on of all time..... vBSEO!
