yes...

you will need isapi 3 lite on the windows box though (free) if you are using IIS instead of apache

http://www.helicontech.com/download/..._0054_Lite.msi

lite is great if you only have 1 site on the server.

if you have multiple, its best to pony up the cash for pro, as its much more flexible.

Hi Brian,

Thanks...

So my setup with just fastcgi won't work then?

I think some isapi thing is installed also, but I have to choose and if I choose fastcgi then it won't work?

i dunno...

that's more of a server issues than vbseo issue. vbseo will work on either style php install...

fast cgi is really slow though.

have you considered moving to a 'real' server (read: LAMP)

from personal experience, server load is nearly doubled on fastcgi vs as an apache module.

My personal experience will also tell me to never run a system designed for linux on windows. (sure, php/msql etc all work on windows... but they have tweaks to them... nervous twitches if you will).

Misinformation. Was true 6 years ago, but, not any longer. FastCGI is the way to go on Windows/IIS. You'll have no problems with php or mysql no matter what some might tell you.

Thank you AWS...I've read hundreds of pages and that's what I've been hearing.

I've got a monster of a server so I don't think I'll have any problems. I was just trying to find out if vbseo worked with fastcgi...which I'm still not exactly clear about.

There are no issues with vBSEO and FastCGI. Please note though that if you are on Windows/IIS, you will need ISAPI_Rewrite module installed.
