    vbSeo vs Competing products

First of all, actually do they exist ? I mean, are there competing products of vbSeo ?

I know about a rewrite engine for free at vBulletin.org, but I got nausea just of seeing how the "fixes" and "updates" are spread all over threads, not only from users, but from the coder as well!
I rather pay to get a good product with support.
But I somehow still need to be convinced to use my credit card, which I have just right in front of me
What are the vbSeo advantages over that free tool ?

Nothing competes with vbseo feature to feature. It is not just a rewrite script.

And *cough* don't forget the support!

Seriously, even before I became Staff here, I always loved the quick and efficient Support.

I can vouch for the fact that the current feature set that vbseo has on it can absolutely not be matched by vRewrite to any sensible degree. I am an experienced vbulletin/php coder and I know my way around .htaccess functions and was unable to modify vrewrite to have the same intense level of functionality that vbseo provides.

(And as they said vbSEO is now far from a rewrite script with all these insanely cool features they recently have been piling on)

Those are the encoder options, Zend or Ioncube.

If you download the test.php from http://www.vbseo.com/downloads/ , upload it to your server and call it in your browser, it will tell you which is the one for you.

    Thanks.

About flexibility and features. I don't like the "threaid+threadtitle" configuration for displaying threads. I guess I can change that, right ? If so, where ?

You can moderate your vBSEO linkbacks in your vBulletin AdminCP as well. If you have the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator installed, it also has a section for configuring that.

Be that as it may you can't really tell if vBSEO is well written or not.
