VBSEO & VB4.1.2 w/ vb-dir.php used?

On my site, I am using VB4.1.2 with the vb-dir.php being used to have my CMS pointed to my domain.com home page, similar with my blog ie. domain.com/blog/

Will VBSEO work in this configuration? Saw some threads stating this would not work correctly with VBSEO. Please confirm, before I purchase.

I am wanting to purchase latest version 3.6?, does it work with 3.6? or will I have to use an older version?

My site is brand new, so I can go back and reinstall if there is a better way to help SEO?

Site is setup as follows...

domain.com/forum/forum.php - main directory where everything is installed.

I wanted when someone tryped in domain.com it brought up the main CMS home page. so I followed directions from VB to use vb-dir.php.

domain.com = main CMS page

Did the similar thing with the Blog, now points to

domain.com/blog


Advice to make sure it will work smoothly with VBSEO? and get the best results? What do other people do most commonly?

As i highlighted you need to follow the article i used linked in previous response. You should not use vbulletin method to achieve that
