vBSEO usefullness on mainly private forum?

I would be interested in this product, however 95% of my forum is private, forum titles are visible to all but the contents are only accessible to users who are in the member groups.

I only migrated from phpBB to vB about two weeks ago, phpBB didnt' really get crawled very well, not sure if vB better at this by default?

Does the current Google bot actually read the forum titles at all?

Bottom line: how "usefull" would this product be for getting more visitors to find my site in a mainly private forum.

You wouldn't get crawled at all even with vBSEO since 95% of your forum is locked out to guests. Google can't access that content.

But for that other 5% vBSEO would do very well
