We are confident it will be ready for release without further testing. In fact, the IIS version is currently running in a couple of sites with over 1K concurrent users without problems.

If any of you guys is able to run ionCube on IIS, please submit a support ticket so that we can deliver a pre-release IIS vBSEO.

Once again, my apologies for this delay - I know how frustrating it is :(

    Juan,

Can you describe the requirements for the IIS servers? I believe we need to run Zend? Can you provide the specifics?

    Thanks!

Re: Is vBSEO ready for IIS W2K3 yet?

    Hello Josh, below the requirements:

    1. The PHP installation:
    - must have pre-installed (in php.ini) Zend Optimizer or Ioncube libraries
    - OR allow dynamic loading of the extensions to load Ioncube library

    2. ISAPI Rewrite module for IIS should be installed: ISAPI_Rewrite - URL Rewrite engine for IIS, ISAPI Filter for URL Rewriting, mod_rewrite for IIS

    3. rewrite rules from isapi_rewrite.txt file should be added to the ISAPI Rewrite config file (httpd.ini)

    4. Server permissions must be modified to allow IUSR_XX user to write to include/config_vbseo.php file. This is required to let vbseocp store the settings in config file.

    Cheers

Is there a trial version of vbSEO for IIS available to try on my test platform?

I've heard both good and bad things about this application - having to shell out $149 and then find it's not for me... I don't think so.

Re: Is vBSEO ready for IIS W2K3 yet?

I was not able to get it to work using Zend's WinEnabler. Also since installing the ISAPI re-write app I started to get IIS server hangs, even when I removed DLL from the ISAPI tab. I've uninstalled and rebooted the server and will be monitoring for the next few days to see if this was indeed the problem, but the timing suggsted it might be.

In the event that there is either a conflict with either WinEnabler or ISAPI-rewrite I am hoping they will give my money back.

I thought about upgrading to the Zend Core (which is the predesessor to WinEnabler) but I read in the installation manual that you have to switch to IIS5 Isolation mode, which seems absurd to me!

    So far, not going well.

    Yes it does.

The free version is still good but you can only run it per hole server. The chraged one is enabled per site.
For 69$ is still peanuts, considering you get the Apache's htaccess...

WOW, how the hell the link changed dynamically to the title present on ISAPI site?
Probably a new vbSEO feature... That's cool.

Are these still the requirements and can anybody confirm that vbseo is now bug-free for Windows servers?

I am very interested but a total novice with server configuring so I am a bit nervous to do this.

    Thanks for any help!

Here is the test file I installed to see if my server was compatible: Test File

Delete that link if it's some kind of security risk for me. Thanks!

Yes, vBSEO 3.0.0 RC8 is running on many IIS sites without any problems. Just make sure your server meets those requirements.
