Exclamation vbseo.php' not found or unable to stat???!

Hello!

Today I was checking through my php error logs after running into some problems with another piece of software...

Strangely, what I noticed is i get a lot of requests for forum/images/misc/vbseo.php that come up with "vbseo.php' not found or unable to stat"...

Now heres my situation... I've never wanted to get Vbseo, I've defenitly never tried to install it...

-- yet why the heck is my server getting requested for "vbseo.php" in my forum/images/misc folder upon EVERY single request for any page in my forum?

I don't know why this is happening, but more importantly, I'd want this to stop.

Anybody have any ideas where this request occurs? Where to look?

I'm interested in hearing back, I figured this forum would be the right place to post,

Cheers,
Tom-E

vBSEO was never on that site? You are the original owner of the site?

Check your .htaccess file to see if there are any references to vBSEO.

Also, there's no vbseo.php in the /images/misc directory.

There's only the one instance of vbseo.php and it lives in the forum root.

Sorry, I meant "in the vBSEO package, the only instance of vbseo.php is the one in the root".

As you are not a vBSEO owner, and your site has never had it installed (according to you), there's no way that error is related to vBSEO.

As an example of how it might have occured - the file is being linked to on another site somewhere. Have you checked your Raw Error Logs to determine the referring pages?

As you can tell, these are all referred from under my Vbulletin forum... but no single file can be called out just by looking at the logs...

How do I check where this is happening?

please post your htaccess. unable to stat is an apache-related error (most the time).

sounds like there's something weird in there
