    Vbseo Files

What is contained in the download, is it replacement files for the existing VB setup, or new files that work in conjunction with the existing VB setup.

I am very keen to purchase this, but I have a few questions like.

Which files are being replaced ??
why does the download seem to be VB version dependant ?

I would like to do this, but dont want to move to far away from the original VB files.

It replaces no vBulletin files. vBSEO is an add-on for vBulletin.

The single vBSEO download works with vBulletin 3.0.x, 3.5.x, and 3.6.x, though the installation method is slightly different for vBulletin 3.0.x.

    Thanks Keith,

I am considering implementing this on a forum that has over 500,000 posts a year, and I need to be sure this is going to work. The forum server I run is Windows with IIS6. I have a test server which I wil try it on first.

Hos it is possible to change a thread from URL from t=123 to /123 without changing any VB files. Surely you need to change the way the URL is written in PHP, which is a VB file.

    Hi Graham,

Nope.. you can definitely make vB 3.5.x and 3.6.x do things without changing any files... it's called the Plugin/Hook System.

Without going into a huge spiel, effectively it works like this: There are 'hooks' in the php code. As it is executed, and comes to a hook, it looks in your db for any code that has to be executed at that hook point. That is where the plugins come in.

Plus, there is a bit of .htaccess magic.
