Hello EASD,
vBSEO 3 (currently RC 3) does support vBulletin 3.6.x.
If you have questions or problems by setting up something related to vBSEO we'll support you aswell.
EASD,
A default vBSEO installation will get you started, and may not require any changes depending on your own preferences. However (as Phillip) noted, our support team and our forum members can give you assistance on tweaking your configuration.
If you are interested in our CRRs and RRs (Custom Rewrite Rules & Relevant Replacements), we also have dedicated sub-forums for discussion of those topics. By the way, CRRs allow you to create CRUs (Content Relevant URLs) for other non-standard parts of your forum such as other hacks you've installed. RRs help you to improve your keyword relevancy.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
P.S. You should also check out one of the most exciting new feature additions in vBSEO 3.0:

Ok I bought it.
One question. I have seen it discussed here but have not seen a real answer.
When running vbseo, should the vbArchive be disabled?
it's suggested to have the archive post to the actual threads,, not a archive version..
like

ESAD,
Welcome aboard.
We have various configuration options; however, I favor forwarding to actual threads (as Loco mentioned). It's better for distributing your PageRank to your actual content rather than having it leak to duplicate archive pages.
How do I set that up? Is that the default. I notice now that I have vbSEO installed that my archive does point back to the forums but it is not set up exactly like it is here.
I still see .php etc in the url. Unlike here.
You should not get the .php extension on your URLs. Please submit a support ticket if you are experiencing this.
