    Unencrypted Option & Notice

I didn't even realize that the VBSEO script was encrypted and highly recommend that the people here put this in clear, conspicuous writing somewhere.

Unfortunately I am long tired of having purchased scripts that are no longer working due to lack of development. Everyone promises, insists, etc. etc. etc. I am not willing to purchase an encrypted script unless (1) the company is significantly large enough not to worry, e.g. Macromedia, Microsoft, etc. (2) the company has an escrow for the source code available to the purchaser, (3) there is an unencrypted option. All 3 have been made readily available and are reasonable. At $150, this script is already priced extremely high and I question whether #3 will even be an option since I was already likely to nix it given the existing price. At this time I am considering some of the other rather impressive options that may do the job as well as the mixed results from people I have discussed general vbseo. Please advise - thank you.

From: vBSEO - Search Engine Friendly URLs for vBulletin and More

vBSEO is encrypted in two version: (1) ionCube and (2) Zend. Your web host must be compatible with either Zend or the ionCube loader in order for you to successfully run vBSEO.
I'll let Joe or Juan address your other concerns.

There is no visible source code option planned for vBSEO at this time.

IF this place ever goes under, i'm sure there will still be a cult following for it, including myself. But I highly doubt that will happen. I'm not an employee here, but I know from reading the forums 5 times a day that business is good and ever-growing.

You CAN buy cheaper (if not free) "SEO improvement scripts for vB" but you won't find a better one than vbseo.

Myself, and many others here have had the script pay for itself in one day of adsense income. Before vbseo, it would have taken me about 8-9 days.

IMO, if you monitize your forum, or sell a product/support through your forum, the 150 bucks is a very small investment.
