Crawlability has decided to make to the copyright text / linking in Build 2 (just released). They addressed most of our concerns with the exception of a brand-free option.

hmmm. I want to buy vBSEO, but only if there is no link in the footer. Is there an official statement? I´cant find anything!?


The layout and the information of vbSEO are very ragged. Sorry guys, you sell a tool that is very sensitive and the customers should trust you. Not so easy, it look like a school project...

You don´t answer to my email that I have sent you 5 days ago. I also wait for the test(light)-version...
Hey guys, this is not a free version on vb.org, you ask a lot money (only some bucks less I paid for the complete vbulletin!), so I expect a 'little bit' more! The more so as I ´am only a interested person, not a customer... What happens when I ´am a customer?
What happens when the SE changes something and a update of vBSEO is really needed? Will I get a good support? I want to trust you but you give a lot of reasons to doubt.

You'll want to read this announcement vBSEO 2.0 Gold, Build 2 Released

They state that they won't offer a non-copyrighted version at this time but they have add an extra copyright displayed option.

Really it's down to you wither you wish to purchase with those restrictions. Personally I'll not be using vBseo on clients sites because of this but will use it on my own sites.

I hope if future they do reconsider and offer a copyright free options but again this is their choice. It is preventing them getting some extra sales though .

Currently a branding free version is not available, however, we recently announced some major changes to the copyright structure that may suit you.

I agree, this is being dealt with at the moment. The site (http://www.crawlability.com/vbseo) is being completely redesigned. It will include a bunch of information on the product, testimonials, FAQs, help-desk, etc.
