:sigh: i would kill to have a $1400 mortgage...

good job w/the bmw...they are great cars...i have 2...an x5 (that i am about to sell--) and a 330...smaller for driving in the city (i live in sf) since parking is a b*tch.

i need to start monetizing my forum so i can have more $$ for fun things.

    and that's just adsense...

i also run in-house cpm ads, and a popunder for non-logged in users which contribute anywhere from 200-1000 a month, depending on the season.

this month, income earned as a direct result from vbseo has covered both my $879 car payment, and my $1400 mortgage on my 1200sqft townhouse.

next year, between my full-time job and my websites, i should clear 100k.

Not bad for a college drop out, huh? :P

    touche'

But hey, if you like it there and paying a ridiculous amount for otherwise "normal" housing, by all means, enjoy your stay

I lived in Mountain View and worked in San Francisco. I love the Bay Area, but it is extremely expensive to live there.

It was pretty nice everywhere there. I loved in Foster City for a while and really liked the manicured style of living there.

My work location was not great though (6th and Market).

Actually, it's usually pretty harmless - but not very appealing! Of course, because of all this undesirable activity, our IT startup was able to get a building for a reasonable amount.

I find it easier to live in the central valley and just visit the Bay Area when I am in the mood. Much closer to the mountains that way and cheaper too.

How do you like living in Puerto Rico? I have considered looking into it.

Cost of living is excellent in Puerto Rico. The capital of San Juan is similar to any other large American city. There are some cultural differences. It is a Spanish speaking nation, but most citizens have some level of English speaking ability, many of them fluent. If you like heat and thrive in a tropical environment, with a laid back and free spirited mood, then it is definitely something you might consider.

Heat, tropical, laid back, and free spirited all sound good to me. I have only been to Old San Juan before. I need to go back and explore more of the island.
