Support Denied Domain Change - Unbelievable

    Hello,

I made an error in judgement in changing my vBSEO to a different domain. It went from the .net to the .com with the rest of the name being the same.

I have now requested through a support ticket to have the name changed back to the original domain. For those who don't know, there is supposed to be some policy in place that limits domain name changes to 90 days according to the replies that I received in the support ticket.

The response was basically too bad from vBSEO, or more to the point the person who responded to the ticket. I won't blame the entire company at this point as I believe only an individual with poor judgment, and not looking at the situation in detail would do such a thing. I can't believe that someone wouldn't look at this and change it back to the original. I have only ever requested one domain change and this request was to go back to the one it was before.

I have a product which I purchased that I now cannot use. I'll refrain from making any more comments at this point in hopes someone will do something about this situation.

    Thank-you

When you first updated your license , you receiived the following response :

    Hello AstroGuy ,

    Your license has been updated.

Please keep in mind that according to our License Transfer Policy Transfer Policy: Buying or Selling a vBSEO License you cannot update your license for another 90 days.
But yet again , you mention that you are not aware of the policy.

I'll not comment about anything else.

    Hello,

I appreciate you taking the time to review your decision. I did edit my post to indicate that I was aware of the policy before you replied here. Please also keep in mind however that you did state the policy after you had already made the original change. Without getting into it one could make a case about it being in the license agreement some where but we know how many of us have that memorized. This is the first time I have read the content of the link you provided. There is also such as thing as discretion and customer service especially when such a request would hardly be damaging to the company in this case, at least from my end of things.

    Thank-you,
    Darryl

    Hello,

You have to be absolutely kidding me. You didn't change it. What type of business are you running? What the heck was I thinking to make me think that you did?

You didn't notify me in the ticket about the 90 days until after you had made the change and that has little to do with what should have been a relatively simple request.

I can guarantee you will not get another penny from me. Your attitude towards this is completely unethical.

    Darryl,

The initial move that you requested (move from .com to .net) was completed. Mert replied, advising of the policy. You did not have to acknowledge receipt of that message, it was a courtesy reminder of the policy.

Had you acknowledged it at the time, and requested the move be reversed, we would have been more than willing to comply with your request.

Having cleared that up, your recent request has been escalated, please wait on a PM or response to that ticket.

    Hi Darryl,

We are currently examining the policy. If you made a mistake in updating your domain, then I see no reason to prevent you from changing it back.

Staff had been requested to apply the policy. I apologize for the inconvenience. I've asked them to proceed with updating your domain.
