Subscription only

My board is subscription only and guests cannot view any of it. Would vbSEO still work in this case? Also, would the sitemap generator work as well? Thanks.

SE bots are treated as guests thats why if you donot allow guests to see the content then bots cannot see them. Thats why they cannot index your site that way.

So, in other words, vbSEO will not work if the permissions are set to where guests and "not logged in" cannot view the forums? Nor will the sitemap generator?

Unless the content is visible to guests, it is not visible to search engines. Hence, no value would be gained from running vBSEO, even though it would technical do it's job.

In this case, it would just be optimizing pages that are not accessible the the search engines. Therefore, a wasted effort.

You should really consider opening up at least some of your content to guests so that you can take advantage of vBSEO and use that content to harness a new traffic source.
