    Hello,

vBSEO allows to create URLs based on subdomains, you will need to setup subdomains mask in your hosting control panel and apply some .htaccess modifications, similar to sub forum sub domains
And use this for CMS Article URL format:
    http://[section_title].domain.com/[entry_id]-[entry_title].html

    Hi, Thanks for comment!

I'm happy to see that you're giving support to the matter.

About the subdomains etc' what will be if vB will offer future support of subdomains for each section? I'll rather use a regular solution (my forums is big - more then 4M posts) and it's heavy, my server will load up because of all the use of vBSEO (we have more then 40K unique visits per day), Will I be able to use their solution?

What about the categories? and cross site (sub site) articles? will I have problems etc'?

I don't want to get into something that can heart me in the future, and do you think I'll rather use folders or sub domains for the above? which is better? which is heavier(and can cause future problems)?

Can I use vBSEO with some of the features to avoid server load?

    Thanks!

    Hello ,

If you are already having load problems , then installing vBSEO may harm your site but the reason for that is mod_rewrite , not vBSEO. If your load levels are below 1 ~ average then vBSEO should have very little effect on your server. On my server vBSEO had only 0.02 addition to load levels after installation.

Using subdomains should not have a negative effect.

Hi, I've asked a friend that owns a vBSEO license to check the thread sub forum sub domains he told me that the guy who tried to do a similar thing (just with his forums) didn't really succeed and he didn't got much of support on the matter.
Are you sure that I can run the CMS with sections as subdomains with no problems?

    Thanks.

and about the load, we have 1~ load on average, I know that except mod_rewrite vBSEO has some more things from the inside that can cause a bit more load.

by the way, if I'd like to use 2-3 servers in the future, I shouldn't have a problem with the sub domains \ vBSEO?

there is no getting back from the subdomains issue, if I'm going to use it, I have to know that I'll be able to use it with no problems.

    Thanks.

I am not sure who the guy you are talking about however lots of customers are using member names , blogs on subdomains and this will be supported better with 3.5.0

Related load , vBSEO doesn't have any special thing that increases the load. vBSEO is pretty optimized and it also allows you to cache vBSEO settings. The problematic part some users face is mod_rewrite
