    Question subdomain?

    Hi,

I have been reading some threads on vBulletin and it sounds like they are going to make vBulletin Publisher support subdomains so we can add forums and blogs in a subdomain.

    Example

Will vBSEO support this as well?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Yes, vBSEO does support this in 3.5.

vBSEO 3.5.0 RC2 Final version is out , not vBSEO 3.5.0 Gold.

You need to point the subdomain's at the same folder you have your forum and vbseo files installed at, you then edit your vbseo settings to get vbseo to display the correct content dependant on the domain.

All the subdomain's should be pointing to the same folder on the server so there wont be separate files to put in other locations as there will only be one central location. After you have done this you need to set the Custom CMS domain setting in your vbseocp.php to http://chatfreaks.net/ and you need to set the Custom Blog Domain setting to http://blogs.chatfreaks.net/

This will have you set-up but the #1 thing is you need to have all three subdomains poining to the same folder on your server and this folder needs to be were you have installed vBulletin.

The problem is that you currently have each of the subdomains pointing to separate folders and you are trying to use a script to redirect/include

You don't want/need to do this you just need to change your subdomain virtual hosts to point to the same folder on your server, if your using cpanel it can be done via there or by editing the httpd.conf directly.

    Hi Anupam,

Yes it can you need to create a Wildcard sub-domain first so that ALL sub-domains point to the core directy/files then you would be able to get the desired effect just by changing a few settings in your vbseocp and adding one line to your .htaccess file.
