    Stupid Question...YA think?

I've had my vBulletin site up for about 5 months now. I submitted it to google way back then. Apparently I suck.

    site:www.shoretelforums.com - Google Search

Do you think VBseo will help???? Or do I need to seek 'Serious' mental help? Nothing special about the site...no plug-ins, etc.

    HELP?!?!

it will help, but yes, 63 possible topics isn't going to get you very far.

start posting, install vbseo and vbseo sitemap

True...but believe it or not, if you 'Google' "shortel forums", I come up number 2...

Go figure. Took 5 months for that to happen.

The answer to your question is very simple.
You will NEVER be indexed while you keep that redirect in place.
If I type shoretelforums.com, it will send me to shoretelforums.com/forums. Very bad.

Put a main page, with a nice SEO structure (meta keywords, H1, H2, etc.), then have your users click on a link that will point to the forums. Start posting links from your forums to other places, so Google is aware that you exit and update your site regularly.

Then, spend countless hours reading the Google webmaster tips and perfect your site.
Good SEO does not come in by itself.

It's a good idea to get vBSEO installed from the beginning, and then begin developing your content and backlinks.
