    Thumbs up Some, er, pre-sale questions. :)

    Hi! I have been seriously considering buying vBSEO. I tried Zonts SEO and it made me realise the potential, but the script was unsupported and unsatisfactory (that is not a dig at Zoints, they are great!). So I came here, I'd always known what vBSEO was and now I'm a little more clued up after lurking for a while. During my browse not all of my questions were answered. If they were, please point me in their direction!

    1) I see lots of sites SEO only SOME vB URL's. Pages like usercp.php and calendar.php still with their native instructions. My aim would be to create a folder like structure, no .html or files involved... Can EVERY vB page be rewritten?

    2) I currently rename showthread.php and forumdisplay.php (amongst others) - so on the web there are some links to the old URL's and some to the new. I understand vBSEO would redirect old links from showthread.php e.t.c. just fine, but can it be configured to redirect from both the vB default and my current setup of URL?

    3) I have de-branded all modifications I run on my site. I'm not going to 'nag' you for a brand free version - no point. All I wish to know is that if I go ahead and buy now, and a brand free option is created - will I be allowed to 'upgrade' my license, rather than buying a new one? I have not decided to buy yet and this is crucial to me.

    4) I hear there are many options in displaying your copyright information. But I could not find a list. As one of my requirements would be to have one which does not include the term 'vB' or the word 'forum'.

    5) You check sites to see if they qualify. If my site did not meet your terms, would I be allowed to make changes to meet the terms and reapply?

    6) You mention that adult content is now allowed - my site is a mucis community, but occasionally users may post 'lude' photographs of themselves. Would this be considered breaking your terms, or do you describe the content and orientation of the site?

    I thought I had some more questions but I can't remember... Thanks.

    1) Yes, if you want to go through and create CRRs (Custom Rewrite Rules) for every page, you can. However, they do add to the CPU usage, so we normally suggest only rewriting the pages that you are going to allow to be indexed by search engines.

    2) It would take an extra .htaccess rule or two, but yes it can be done.

    3) Yes, you will be able to just purchase the branding free license "add on" when it is available.

    4) Here are the 10 options:
    Code:
     // ****** COPYRIGHT NOTICE ******
     // As per the License Agreement (vBSEO - Search Engine Friendly URLs for vBulletin and More), you may NOT remove (or modify) the
     // copyright notice. Select one of the copyright notices to be displayed in ALL pages enhanced by vBSEO:

     //
     // Not Linked

     // 6. Content Relevant URLs by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC6 © 2006, Crawlability, Inc.
     // 7. Search Engine Optimization by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC6 © 2006, Crawlability, Inc.
     // 8. SEO by vBSEO 3.0.0 RC6 © 2006, Crawlability, Inc.

    5) Yes

    6) Management will have to confirm, but I would say that if you allow that type of material to remain on your site, then it would disqualify you from running vBSEO.
